Instagram Galleries

Instagram announced today that they have rolled out their Galleries function - users can share up to 10 photos and videos in one post. This is a massive change, and some users have even pondered about whether it's the end of Instagram. Well, I say: "embrace the change!"

This new functionality will add a new dimension to the news feed. It'll also prevent spamming by some people as they want to share all the photos in one series (in one go). I think it'll be a good extension to the Instagram Stories - although Instagram stories can be somewhat linear (it's meant to tell a story over time), whilst this carousel will be an explosion of images in one go.

I'm really looking forward to see how people use this new feature. I think I will start off by reposting people's photos with this feature, so I can still curate my feed properly.
